How to Know She Is into You or Not
So, you’ve met this 50+ woman but you can’t tell if she’s into you as much as you’re into her? Well, you won’t have your answer simply by checking if she is laughing at your jokes or replying to your texts quickly. It’s a bit more complicated than that. There are a few signs that don’t lie, though, and paying attention to her non-verbal signals is a good hint. Here’s what you should look for if you wonder whether she’s attracted to you or not.
Sign 1: Her voice changesIf you are just getting to know each other then it might be a little difficult for you to know what the usual tone of her voice sounds like. However, bear in mind that women and men tend to change their voice when they’re with someone they feel attracted to. More specifically, we tend to lower our voice when we are flirting. Check how she speaks to other people (the barman, waiter, grocer) to see whether her voice changes when she's with you!
Sign 2: She touches her hair and tilts her headNon-verbal communication can tell you a lot about a person’s thoughts. If she is stroking her hair, it might mean she’s into you. But be careful, while she could use this gesture deliberately to tell you she likes you, tossing her hair repeatedly could also mean she’s nervous or feeling uncomfortable.
Another gesture to pay attention to is whether she is tilting her head to one side. If she’s looking right into your eyes and smiling, all while tilting her head, she might be trying to tell you that she’s interested.
Sign 3: She mimics your behaviourSince we tend to be more attracted to people who are similar to us, we also tend to act like people we like. If she is copying your behaviour (deliberately or not), this is a sign that she’s into you. Whether this is by using the same words, expressions or the same gestures, mirroring has the power to make the other feel more comfortable and confident, all while signifying similarity. Although she probably didn’t notice that she was mimicking you, there is a fair chance that she feels attracted to you.
Sign 4: She seeks eye contactYou noticed that she’s been staring at you? People, even little children, maintain eye contact to signify that they are interested in someone. On the contrary, if your 50+ date is avoiding eye contact with you, she is probably not that into you (unless she is shy). If she keeps looking you right in the eyes while listening to you, she probably wants to show you that she’s interested in what you say.
Sign 5: She stalks you on FacebookCheck your Facebook notifications. She liked one or several posts or pictures you shared on your wall? Even better: she liked an old photo you uploaded a few years ago? She stalked your Facebook page! Meaning: she’s been thinking of you and wants to know more about you.
Sign 6: She asks you questionsWhen you like someone, you usually ask them many questions, simply because you want to know more about them. If, on the contrary, she barely asks you any questions about your life or what you’re talking about, she might not be that interested (unless she is shy, of course).
Sign 7: She finds excuses to contact youShe hasn’t asked you out again yet but, instead, she’s been texting you because she finally listened to the band that you like or watched the movie you talked about during your last date? She may be too shy to propose a date and be waiting for you to make the first move. Her texts could be her way of sparking up a conversation.
Sign 8: She gets physically closeWhen you’re not sure about someone or you don’t like someone, you tend to keep a bit of distance between you and them, right? Well, the contrary works too. We tend to get physically close to those we feel attracted to. She is moving towards you or touching your arm/hand? That’s a good signal (but not an invitation for you to jump on her!).
Sign 9: She shares personal stories about herselfAlthough the first date is about getting to know each other to see if you could be a good match, you don’t tend to get too personal. If, after a few dates, she is starting to get a little more personal in conversation, it means she is starting to trust you and that she probably likes you. You tend to share personal stories with people you like in order to create a more intimate bond.
Sign 10: She teases youAdults can act like kids, especially when it comes to seduction. If she’s teasing you and mocking you gently, don’t worry, it might be her way of showing you that she likes you. In fact, both men and women tease each other as a flirting tactic. It’s a great way to get close and test someone.
It is important to realise that every individual and every situation is different. Therefore, you should remember that there is no guarantee that a woman is into you, even if she is displaying one or several of these signals.
However, understanding more about women and communication (verbal and non-verbal) is an asset when it comes to seduction and dating. Next time you have a date with a mature woman, or when you see a woman you find attractive, try to pay attention to these signals to know whether or not you should look for another match.
